The following can be found at www.lofthouse.com and is a great representation of the keyboard in relation to the notes on the staff. Students who struggle with note reading will benefit from studying this graphic. I will have larger ones available at lessons.


Keyboard Layout

The following graphic indicates which keys on the piano keyboard correspond with the notes on a staff of music. There is no need to know the names of the notes. Just press the key on the piano that corresponds with the note on the written music, as shown on the following image. The black image represents the piano keyboard while the red image represents the notes on a sheet of music overlaid on the piano keyboard.
