Cindy has been teaching voice lessons for 15 years! Although she believes in, and teaches all styles and techniques of singing, her forte is Musical Theatre. Cindy received her private training from Heidi McKay who is known as the Diva for the New Zealand Opera and has been featured on the cover of Women’s Weekly. Cindy also received formal training at the University of Utah under a full vocal scholarship.

Cindy enjoys teaching voice and loves to sing. She has a special place in her heart for musical theatre playing roles such as “The Witch” in Into the Woods, “Mille” in 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, and “Julie Jordan” in Carousel. She was also cast as “Fantine” in the touring company of Les Miserable. Although her focus has been Musical Theatre, she does have experience in classical performance, having won 1st Place in the Utah State Fair Competition, and recently opened for Rita Moreno in concert.

Cindy is currently a musical director for many community and regional theatres in Utah. Having been the musical director for shows such as Aida, The Drowsy Chaperone, Beauty and the Beast, Into the Woods, Showboat, Damn Yankees, and The Music Man, she has a wide range of musical theatre experience.

Cindy thrives in the success of her students. She finds it very rewarding to see people of all ages blossom in their talent and art. She currently has three past students that work for Disney, Five past students involved in regional theatre, and even a couple that are playing on Broadway! She is so proud of all of their hard work and accomplishments and looks forward to being a part of many more students achieving their dreams.

Cindy is the mother of two amazing little boys and will be relocating to the Anthem area in January to support her husband in his career. She is accepting students to start in February.
